unable to restore backup image -- USB & internet connection

Thread needs solution

I have tried for 2 days, with multiple contacts to chat and phone support, to successfully boot with recovery disk so I can restore an image from the cloud.

I've created a recovery disk with advanced options to include drivers, etc.  Nothing has worked.

The consistent error message occurs when I boot to the USB recovery disk, click through to restore back up from cloud.  The message reads: "There is a connection problem or an error on the server.  Check your internet connection or try again later."

I *really* need to get my new computer back up and running.  Help!

Thanks.

Hello Michael!

Welcome to the forum.

I am sorry to hear about the issue.

I have updated the ticket raised by yourself with the details you provided.

If you face network issues during the process, downloading them from the cloud can be a solution. Please check the KB for instructions: https://kb.acronis.com/content/70977

Also, please try using another USB drive, as the one you are currently using may have issues.

Please note that we sent you an email on the 1st of September, and so far, it hasn't been replied to. It's important to reply so our support can be aware and take necessary actions.

You can expect to be contacted by our support team as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance!

Also try a different USB cable and different as suggested a different USB port on the computer. For desktops ports on the back of the computer tend to be more reliable. Also check power settings for the USB devices - the drive may be going into sleep mode while awaiting the computer to process data.
