Acronis True Image 2021

Thread needs solution

Hallo, I store a full image of my computer on a 1 tb SSD from time to time. My question is:
as there is a lot of memory space left free by this image, can I use the still free memory space to contemporarily store another full image of my computer on this same SSD?
If this is possible, how can i then choose between the two stored images when I want to restore my computer using the Acronis Survival Kit? I had the idea of changing the drive letter before the second backup but I do not know how Acronis Survival Kit will handle that?
Thank you in advance if you have an answer for my problem!

Werner, welcome to these public User Forums.

Providing that you are creating a Backup image on your storage drive, then you should be able to create multiple such backup images.  These will have a file extension of .tibx or .tib depending on the type of backup being performed.

If you are creating a clone of your source drive, then this is a 1:1 duplicate copy of the source disk drive to the second drive, and only one copy is possible and a second clone would wipe out and overwrite any previous clone on the same target drive.

By default, Acronis will create an Incremental backup when you setup a new backup task.  This will create an initial Full backup which is required for all backup schemes, then will create 5 or 6 Incremental backups when the task is run on subsequent times, before make a further new Full backup.

When it comes to any future recovery, then the Survival Kit works in the same way as the normal Acronis rescue media and the recovery should be done from either the survival kit or rescue media, especially when the Windows OS is being restored.
