All text in my version of Acronis True Image 2021 has a line through it

Thread needs solution

Apologies in advance if this has been discussed before or in another place. A few months ago my Acronis True Image 2021 product showed up with a line drawn through all the test. This occurs everywhere throughout the various screens.

Has anyone seen this before? Is there a fix?

See attached jpg.

Alan, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but this issue is a first for me that I have never seen personally or seen reported in these forums!

I would recommend doing a Repair install of ATI 2021 following the steps shown in KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings

If the Repair Install doesn't fix it, then it looks like a font issue in Windows??

Thanks for your reply. The instructions given in "60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings" are for Acronis 2020, 2019 and 2018. My version is 2021 and my screens and options look different from the examples shown.

That being said, figuring out how to pause protection was easy. But I don't see a check box for "Protect backup files from ransomware", as described in the repair programs link.

And I don't think this is a windows font problem because it doesn't show up in any of my other apps or programs. Just in Acronis.

Other than that, Aconis still works normally.

Problem is gone. The only thing I did was toggle protection off and then back on. Very strange, but I'll take the win even if I don't know why.

Thanks for your help.

Alan, glad all is sorted but still very puzzling / strange that Active Protection could cause that sort of issue!

It seems to be a winter phenomenon (or summer for Ian, etc.)

Bruno, don't mention summer. It is going to be unpleasantly hot here (Melbourne, Australia) for the next week or so. [And, covid-19 is out of control.] I must admit that I prefer winter - but relatively speaking we have a very mild winter. No snow, no ice, ... just cool to cold.
