ADD 11 problems

Thread needs solution

Hi..

i'm unable to start ADD. I get the following error message:
ManagementConsole.exe - System Error

The program can't start because ACTIVEDS.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

The file activeds.dll is present on my computer in C:\windows\system32

If I copy the file to ADD's installation directory, I get a different error:
ManagementConsole.exe - Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I've tried repairing the installation. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADD but the problem still exists. Have also tried copying activeds.dll to C:\windows\syswow64 folder.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 which is fully updated.

If anyone is able to offer any suggestions, that would be cool.

Update....

Tried using the Acronis Cleanup tools to completely remove ATI and ADD, then reinstalled and the problem with ADD was still present.

I then uninstalled ADD 11 then installed ADD 10, rebooted and that works ok.

However, i'm reluctant to keep v10 on my system as it has issues with Windows 7 afaik.

Can anyone help please?

Nevermind.

Have managed to get it working.

I copied activeds.dll from my XP partition to the syswow64 directory and it's working ok so far.
