Can I change size of the Disks (not volumes) I created when I formatted the physical disk

When I first formatted my physical disk I created a disk (Disk 1) for the operating system and a second disk (Disk 2) for data. The data disk has several partitions.

I have extra space on the data disk but am out of space on the system disk. I can re-size the partitions on the data disk to put the extra space at the front or the rear of the disk but how can I change the size of the disks themselves?

You can't change the size of the physical drive. If you're using a version of Windows that allows Dynamic Disks you may be able to work something out with that. Personally, I don't care for them since they're more difficult to work with.

Consider upgrading to a larger drive. If you have a lot of large files on system drive that could be moved off, that would also be an option.

What sizes are the drives?

I have a 1TB raid 10 drive made up of four 1TB drives. When I built the computer I created to two "drives" on that raid while installing Windows 7. I have lots of free space on the second (data) drive but I am running out of space on my first (system) drive.

Disk Director sees them as two separate drives but they are really both on one set of physical drives. I know I can wipe the drives clean, create two new drives, and then restore a backup but I would to avoid that if possible.

I think breaking the RAID and rebuilding is going to be the easiest and safest way. You should be able to make a backup of the drives and then restore them to the new RAID configuration drives.
