Cannot Download or Build a DD11 Bootable Media CD
When I go to the DD11 entry on My Products and Downloads and download the Bootable Media .iso file and burn it to a CD, it won't boot on a laptop whose hard drive won't boot either. I get the error message, "Starting Acronis Loader..." and then, 'Boot failed, press any key...".
Then when I try to build a bootable media CD under WinXP SP3 Home, I can't seem to do so using the WinPE base. Is there a way to make a WinPE bootable CD under WinXP SP3 Home? I downloaded the WIAK 2 file but it is a .img file and my Roxio Creator 9 doesn't recognize it as a disk image to burn it to CD. Should I change the extension to .iso or just abandon that route? Even so, I can't find clear instructions on how to make a WIAK install on my system and the only option given to get the files is to specify a directory that has WIAK installed. The auto option is not available to me under WinXP. Must I use the Linux kernel to make a bootable CD on this system or is there a way to get a WinPE kernel CD?
