clone without NT signature?
I have Win 8.1 installed on a 120 GByte SSD, with the system folders (Pictures, Documents, etc.) residing on a logical partition on a second HDD. Also, some programs are installed onto the primary partition (Utility folder) on the second hard drive.
Is this possible with Disk Director 12:
Clone the HDD disk with the partition containing the system folders and partition containing the Utility folder to a new WD Red HDD, without copying the NT signature. And, then erase the original HDD, to be used for storing media. The assumption is that the OS will be able to locate the drive letters, even though these are now on a different HDD.
After cloning, can the HDD containing the system folders and Utility folder be converted to GPT? The concern is that the OS will not be able to respond to the programs in the Utility folder nor recognize the system folders (Pictures, Documents, etc.).
Thank you.
