DD11: Fastest choice from the Boot Rescue Disk
When I boot from the DD11 Boot Rescue Disk, once it starts DD11 from my CD it offers me a view of my hard drives from 2 different sources, allowing me to choose one or the other. One source says something like Boot Disk and another says Windows Vista 64, which is one of my operating systems.
Either one I choose shows my hard disks correctly. Is one supposed to be faster in operations than the other ? If one is faster in its operations at bootup time, naturally that is the choice I will take, since either choice appears to offer me the same visual screen with the same operations.
Maybe there is some sort of documentation which explains any difference in these choices, but I have not found any.

MudCrab wrote:The difference is how DD aligns partitions and what drive letter assignments are displayed. In most cases, you will want to select the OS whose partitions you'll be manipulating. For example, selecting Vista x64 will display the drive letter assignments of the partitions as they are assigned in that OS and will also make DD align partitions using Vista's standard (instead of XP's) when you make any partitioning changes.
Thanks for the information.
