Disk Director 10 on Vista?
I am on Vista and using IE8 and have just purchased a downloadable version of Disk Director 10 and while I was about to create a partition it said it is only for 2000, ME and XP. So will it work on Vista?
I cancelled the process just in case it won't. If It doesn't then what can I do?

It's build 2,239.
Is it worth a try or will it mess up my pc?

It should be okay, though you may want to try the latest build instead since DD is not installed yet.
Another option is to create a DD CD and boot to the CD to make the changes.
Exactly what type of partitioning changes are you trying to make?

I downloaded it only the other day so I assumed that was the latest build.
I have already created a DD CD.
I want about 4 partitions. One for my day to day use like word processing and web browsing, a 2nd for my online gambling activities, a 3rd for my 12 yr old nephew who likes to play games, watch youtube and is always downloading something and a 4th to reinstall my previous system which I backed up before I reinstalled this system as my scanner and another program don't work so I am hoping they will still work on the old system.
I have backed up this system on an exterior HDD.
Thanks for your help.

I don't think it will be a problem. I've mixed XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Linux with OSS and DD.
I would recommend that you keep all four OS installations on the booting hard drive. This will use all four partition table slots (Primary partitions). I would also recommend that you use a non-OS partition as the installation folder for OSS (do a Custom install of OSS). This will let you restore any OS partition without worrying about restoring old OSS files. Of course, if you don't have another internal drive available, just go ahead and just one of the OS partitions.

Thanks for your reply
Yesterday I created 3 partions but couldn't change from one to another. The Help menu said to click on Disk but the only things on the drop down menu were Set Password and Exit so I decided to uninstall the whole program and forget it as I didn't want to upset my pc but unfortunately the program has now gone but the partitions are still there. I'm panicking now so would appreciate any advice please?
I have everything backed up on an external drive so I can't lose anything but I could do without the hassle of another reinstallation of windows.
I haven't got an Acronis disc but I think I can still download it from the site if neccessary.

Is Vista still booting normally?
It's not really clear what state the computer is in and what you are trying to do. It sounds like you're back to Vista and just want to remove the other three partitions (which are empty). If that's correct, you can use Disk Management to remove the partitions and then resize/expand the Vista partition as desired to use the unallocated space.
If you are unsure of how to proceed, please post a screenshot of what DD or Disk Management shows for your drive.
