Disk Director 12 Deleted Wrong Volumes
Hi,
I was trying to delete the volumes from a 1.5 TB hard drive in my external/eSata slot and DD said it needed a restart to finish up. So I committed and off I went.
While restarting the Acronis screen came up first and to my horror was removing the 2 partitions from one of my internal storage hard drives. There was no option to cancel this so I just had to watch and then boot into Windows.
So the DD operation was carried out on the wrong drive. Honestly, I did not mistakenly choose the wrong drive.
So I launched into Acronis Recovery and I was able to restore 1 partition, but not the second. Which of course has the more important data on it. DD lists the data as DOS Primary and is unallocated .
At this point I figure my files are still there since no formatting has occurred.
What can I do to get this partition back or the files?
TIA,
Randy
