Disk Director 12 won't commit changes to create/copy partition

Thread needs solution

I installed DD12 on a Windows 7 Home Premium system with the intention of resizing the main drive to create a recovery partition. The partition creates and copies when setting it up, but when the system reboots when it commits, nothing has been done.

I uninstalled it from the Windows 7 system and installed on a Windows 8 system and it created a split partition that was successful, but will not copy the main volume into the recovery volume. I tried the solution for the DD11 similar issue, but it still was not successful.

Any other ideas?

Hello,

1. Please make sure that "Secure boot" feature is disabled in BIOS on your PC and try to resize the drive again.

2. Add all Acronis-related folders into exclusions of antivirus (if any).
C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\

3. Does any error message appear on the screen while resizing?

4. Does resizing work using Windows Disk Management?

Best regards.
