Disk Director to change distribution of space between two volumes

Thread needs solution

On a drive split into two volumes, C: and D: windows 2003 server, D: has an Exchange database running, can I move the partition boundry between C and D to give more space to C at the expense of D without killing the data on D. I currently have 12gb on C and it is out of space, and 400gb on D of which only 200gb is in use. I need to increase the C partition size and at the expense of D.

Yes you can. It would be better to do this after booting from the rescue CD so as Windows doesn't interfere, though you'd be required to reboot any way so that DD can perform the partition information change.

However, it would be an idea if you can to make an image of your disk or the Exchange partition from a redundancy point of view.

If you start the alteration from the Windows version of DD it would be best to stop Exchange transactions.

What version of DD do you intend to use?
