Does Partition Management work with VHD created by Zinstall XP7?

Thread needs solution

I used Zinstall XP7 to migrate from XP to Win7. My old XP computer becomes a VH7 in my new Win7 laptop. I've migrated most of the data files from XP to Win7. I have a lot of "free space" in XP, but now I'm running low on space in Win7 because so much was allocated to the XP virtual environment. I'd like to re-size / re-allocate disk space. Does anyone know if Acronis Partition Manager can do this? Anyone use Partition Manager with Zinstall?

Thanks in advance!

In researching this more, it created a VMDK File that is makes up the virtual hard drive. Even with data, the VMDK file is huge. The virtual hard drive is almost all "free space"...will Acronis shrink a VMDK file?

DD won't resize virtual drive container files. You could try creating a new expanding VHD in the VM and then using DD to copy the partition(s) from the "big" VHD to the new one. Then the "big" one could be deleted after the new one is confirmed working.
