Increase Free Space won't complete

Acronis Disk Director Suite version 10.0 (build 2,077)

I have gone through the steps to increase my C: drive (down to 18% free space). Everything seems to work correct - when my system reboots, it goes through the partition check and all looks good, then my system does a disk scan (Windows XP) - this seems to erase the increase.

I have tried skipping out of the disk check to see if that helps - however, the increase does not show....

Have you tried booting to the DD CD and doing the procedure?

Have you checked the file system for errors (chkdsk /f)?

Can you post a screenshot of what DD shows?

Note that it's recommended to have an Entire Disk Image backup of the drive before making partitioning changes, in case something goes wrong.
