problem with "foreign" dynamic disks and merging volumes

Thread needs solution

Good day! Please, help me! Sorry, I'm from Russia and have a bad English.

I have a 300GB HDD on my PC. I want to make two disks on 150GB.
I tried to do this, but i made THIS (look photo)

Why my disk became foreign? How can I do it unforeign, as it was before?
And how I can merge unallocated capacity with local volume capacity then?
Unfortunally, Acronis Recovery Expert can't help me because of unsupported hard disk drive :(

Please, help me with my problem!
Simply, I only want 2 local disks for 150 GB :)

Thank you! Peace and Love from Russia!

What version of Windows are you using?

What does Disk Management show for the drive? Does it agree with what DD shows?

Was the drive previously configured as a Dymanic Disk?

Have you tried booting to the DD CD and making the changes? Try uisng the Boot Media Disk Layout option if selecting the Windows version doesn't let you work with the drive.

Hopefully, you have a backup image of the drive. It's always recommended before making partitioning changes in case anything goes wrong.

I use Windows 7 (x64)
"My Computer" shows me two disks, but whithout unallocated capacity.

I can't understand all that you wrote me, espesially about Boot Media Disk Layout. Can you explane me about that by simply language?

And this is bad, but i don't have a backup image of the drive.

Please strongly consider creating a backup image of the drive(s) if the contents are important. There is always the risk of data loss when making partitioning changes (regardless of the software being used).

The Disk layout selected in DD determines how DD displays and interprets the drives. When you boot to the DD CD, one of the options available is to view them as the "boot media" sees them. This can be useful when viewing them as Windows sees them may not be correct or may not allow proper access.

DD will usually show the version of Windows currently being used (or selected). However, on your screenshot it is only showing Microsoft Windows. This usually means DD is having a problem properly detecting Windows (and probably of detecting/reading the drives). This is why I suggested booting to the DD CD and seeing if it shows them differently.

To change the disk layout used by DD, click the link shown in the upper-right corner of the DD Window (where it shows Microsoft Windows in your screenshot). Then select the desired layout.

This is what I have, when I click the link "Microsoft Windows". No changes.

You are still running DD in Windows. You need to boot to the DD CD to see the "boot media" option.
