I am using ver 10 build 2.288
I want my system back the way it was before installing and partitioning.

Which version of Windows are you using?

Ok, so when you run DD10 do you just see you your C drive (with 200MB less) and nothing else.
What was the size of the partition you tried to create and did the operation finish successfully.
Have you done any work using your system since partitioning.
If you haven't done so already, create a boot disk from the options menu.

Yes i see the c drive. it has 703 free space about 781 size. it use to be size 1 tb free space 930 gb something.
The system also has two other drives one of them was a slave to c (should not have been, was changed when tech installed new hd drive) I created a 150 gb partition then i noticed that the slave drive disappeared so i deleted partition but now i have a smaller c drive a smaller slave drive. Plus i am missing about over 200gb
At one moment after deleting the system would not log on so i followed a a solution posted on another part of this forum (go to command prompt-regedit-write dir c:\ select h key machine- change to c drive go to window-system32 config-load hive-click system write xp_system...)_ with this the system logged on.
I have not done anything else nor have i done any work. I want to restore my system to pre arconis install then start again,.
Thanks for your time

Ok, I am not at all sure how the 2nd or any other drives were installed so I'll just concentrate on the C drive for now. From within DD you should be able to select the C drive and select Resize from the options on the left. If you have already deleted the partition you created (the 150GB one) then the dialogue window that appears will allow you to increase the C partition size back to the maxumium using the unallocated space and therefore revert it back to what you had before.
If you don't see a way to do this it would be great if you could attach a screen image of what you see in the Disk Director window. Unless you instructed DD to perform operations on any other disks then DD10 itself shouldn't have affected them in any way.
Note, in addition, I always us DD10 in manual mode so don't be afraid to do that!

Thanks Ric. You need to first delete the E partiton which will make it unallocated.
This will show up as unallocated along with the unallocated space after it, then you can select C and increase its size.
What you might not have done before is actually 'commit' the delete you did previously, so once you have done the above and it looks correct you need to click on the chequered flag icon at the top left of DD screen to actually perform and complete the operation.
I'm not sure why you have unallocated space located before the C drive but don't worry about that for now.

Two DD's running, oops.
Hopefully one stopped the other from running. Run it again to see the current state and try again.

I rebooted and started over. I selected the drive and clicked delete. the dialog window did not open but there is a red line under the e partition

I tried deleting and commite to procede but i still have 2 partition sizes

should i change e partition from logical to primary and then merge?

The red line just indicates it is currently selected.
So does it now appear as it did in you screeshot before i.e the F drive still exists?
Sorry, F partition

No only partitions can be deleted. but you can 'move partitons' to where unallocated space is, in your case, you could move the C partiton to the beginning.
To create new partitions in the future you can reduce partion sizes and create partitions within it or use it to move or copy other partitions to it. I recommend the user guide which you can find on the Acronis support pages. And you can always ask here if you know what you would like to achieve but unsure how to or whether you can.

Ok c drive is back and f drive also I do have t unalloted spaces of about 2.5 gb on each drive. What are these? I cannot de4lete them
Can I uninstall arconis? I need to correct the slave drive issue because arconis is seeing only 2 drives not the 3.
Again thanks for your time and efforts

Thats good news to begin with.
The unallocated should be available to be used by DD10 to increase the size of an adjascent partition. It isn't possible to tell why they are there, they could just be leftovers from another time, other operations, or were used at one time for something no longer in use. The small space before your C partition could well have been a boot partition at one time. You should be able to move the C partition to the beginning and afterwards add it to C. You should be able to add the other unallocated space to your F partition.
Both your C and F Partitions are Primary, Active ones and should remain that way. If DD10 cannot move or use this unallocated space then something is going on which I don't know about.
You can uninstall DD10 at any time but I doubt it has anything to do with you not being able to see your third drive. Can you see it in Explorer, is it an external USB dive, and what is it formatted as? It could be that the drive or format is not supported by DD10 but I have no experience of DD10 not being able to see any drives when running XP.

I tried to manipulate those unallocated spaces before the c drive but acronis could not do anything. But for some reason they are now after the c and f drive.
I am not able to see it in explorer and i am sure that it was there when i installed disk director.
The c drive is a new drive, i had my prior c drive cloned and copied to the new 1tb drive
I guess that the tech who installed and cloned the drive linked them.
I want to uninstall arconis before going back to the tech shop so as to eliminate any excuse they might give to prove their side and charge me again.
I want to partition my hd to install 1 win 2k, 2 xp and 2 w7 64 bit. in different boot-able partitions.
Again Thank you much
Richard

Good luck. You can use revouninstaller free version to remove DD10 if you wish, which will remove pretty much every trace it was there.
Mention as little as possible about trying to fix issues yourself, just concentrate on the fact that it isn't in the state you expected it to be in and take it from there - some of your recent experiences will give you more insight in what it is you want them to do and what they try and tell you.
Have you got any software you can use to back up your system at any time?
