Using DD11 to keep XP in an old state.
Thread needs solution
I have set up a PC with two hard drives. One with Win 7 and one with XP. The aim is to isolate the XP system from updates etc so that it remains in a state where the old programmes and games carry on working! At present when I boot into either OS I still see the other disk and wondered whether I should disable the second disk via Device Manager to make sure that programmes and drivers don't get updated inadvertantly. I assume I will need to do this from within each OS. Is this likely to cause any issues when I boot up or will the configuration changes only affect the system after booting?
As I am new to dual-boot systems I am a bit nervous about just doing it, in case I get myself in a mess!
Thanks in advance for any advice.
