Windows XP SP3 resizing or splitting does not work

Just purchased DD11 and want to resize or split the C: drive into two partions. From the adverts I thought this should work but seems not. Any ideas? The user instructions seem simple enough but i doesn't work and logs say operations were commited. Please advise.

Run chkdsk /r on the partition to check for file system and sector errors. These can cause certain operations to fail.

Try booting to the DD CD and doing it from there instead of doing it in Windows.

Also, it's recommended to create an Entire Disk Image backup before making partitioning changes. This is especially recommended if using the Split feature (which I don't recommend due to the high chance of data loss if anything goes wrong).
