Build 1662/1666
Whilst I'm waiting to have my 2000 license maintenance authorised ( like I do every year - over a month after we've renewed ) would it be possible to get a link to maintenance build 1666. We're mid rollout and having major issues. We've had to go down the Win PE route to mitigate against the lack of a native I219-LM driver being available in build 1660. Hoping that build 1662 or 1666 may have this driver included. Many thanks.
Derek

I have a computer with the Intel I219-LM nic. The 1660 build does not include the nic driver support.
Is there a way I can get it?
Thanks,
Troy

Hello Bobbo - also running into issues with the Intel NIC drivers, and am having to inject it into a WIM file every time- any chance you could send this over to me as well?

Hello!
My company is on a trial to test out acronis and the build we have (5.0.1.6600) and we're having issues imaging:
Surface Pro 4
Latitude 5470
Precision M3510
Precision M2800
At my previous company, these updated builds had the network interfaces to support the newer dell laptops. Can we get a download link?
Thank you!

Kayla, I'm not sure if 1666 will work under trial mode (as long as you have a trial license key, it should though). Check your PM for the download.

Hello, we are currently on ASD5 testing purposes but on newer Lenovo mobile devices (T460s / X260) totally useless in case of not detection of NVMe-SSDs and newer Intel NICs.
Will the beta release 1666 support such devices?
Greetings
Mike Schur

Hello Mike, I've sent you a PM.

We're having trouble deploying to machines with the I219 too, "no network interface available." 1666 sounds like the solution. Could I please get that link?

Hi Colin, just sent you a PM with the 1666 beta - it should have what you're looking for with the updated NIC drivers.
- Anmelden, um Kommentare verfassen zu können

Thank you very much for the link to that update. I installed it everything looked good as I installed it. In the management console it shows the new 1666 version number but when I boot up a machine with the PXE it still shows 1656 and "no interface available." I restarted the 2012 R2 server that we use for this and tried again and got the same thing. During the upgrade process it listed the components to be updated and Snap Deploy 5 Agent was marked as updated. Since this is a beta release does the agent still show the older version number and just some new drivers are included?
- Anmelden, um Kommentare verfassen zu können

I figured it out. The new components had to be reuploaded to the PXE. I didn't recall having to do that last time but I probably did do it. I have 1666 there now and it sees the network adapter.
Thanks.

You got it! Yeah, others have had to uninstall the PXE component and reinstall that portion again as well, not sure why some do, but others don't. Main thing is you got it working and can now use it for those systems with the I219 Nics.

I am also running a test of ASD5 and have been unable to recognize NVMe SSDs, which all our new laptops are utilizing.
If you could send me a link to download the latest build, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Michael,
I've sent you PM for the 1666 beta download. This one does have the drivers necessary for NVME PCIE hard drives (in AHCI mode). If using one in RAID, you would still most likely need to create WinPE and inject the IRST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) driver as well. A lot of people simply switch to AHCI mode in the bios (if using a single NVME drive that came from the factory in RAID mode), for the purpose of detecting the drive and backing it up, and then switch the bios back to RAID before booting back into the OS.

Hi!
Could You please give me the link to beta version 1666.
After upgrading server from version 4 to version 5 my HP Workstations don't boot via PXE. Stucks on blinking cursor. With version 4 everything was fine.
Thank You

Hi Courbet, I've sent you a PM with the link.
However, I have a feeling that the existing version of SD5 will work if 4 was working too. You may need to remove the PXE component, reboot and then reinstall the PXE component after an over-the-top upgrade (seems to work for others). It certainly won't hurt to have 1666 though as it brings newer PCIE NVME hard drive support and better intel NIC support for newer computer hardware too. You may still need to remove the PXE and reinstall it after an inplace upgrade though.

Rey, PM has been sent. Please try not to ask the same in multiple threads unless you're not getting a response. It's a lot more work trying to help you when you post the same request in 3 different areas :)

Hi there,
we also got new notebooks from MSI with m2 slots, which can´t be load in Snap Deploy 5.
Can you provide me with the 1666 Build also? Can I use the SD5 Licenses for it?
Thanks,
P. Staudemayer

Bobbo_3C0X1, maybe you can help.
I have been running the installer with administrator privilege. I am logged in as the administrator and I have also tried using "Run as Administrator".
The error I get is "This app can't run on your PC, to find a version for your pc, check with the software publisher."
I am running this on a Windows Server 2012, 64 bit OS and x64 based processor.
What else should I try?

Looks like Acronis has posted1666 in a new sticky! Anyone needing it can grab it from there now.
- Anmelden, um Kommentare verfassen zu können

Golden Emily, what version of the installer are you using? I've been able to install 1660 and 1666 on 2012. Perhaps the installer is damaged... try downloading with a different browser and verify the checksum of the installer to make sure it matches. If you have any previous installs of sd remove those too and reboot before installing. A few people have had luck running the Acronis True Image cleanup tool to clear out old SD items that may be problematic too.

All praise the gods of imaging! It is now working with the new build! I've been lighting candles and burning sage to a tiny alter of Acronis. Maybe that helped;)
Thank you for your help Bobbo!!

Wait, there are pre-release versions I can get? I know the latest 1660 is not working for our PXE on new Dell Latitude machines. Is it possible to get a later release with additional NIC support, like perhaps the D3100 dock?

Yes, look at the sticky post in the top of the forums for Snap Depoy 5. You can get it from there. Fixed my issues.

Hello All,
We have purchased about 70 SnapDeploy licenses and are having a real difficult time doing mass-deployments and detection of the new NVMe-SSDs. Was hoping that the new release would have addressed this but doesn't look like it.
Any Ideas?

Try temporarily putting the bios SATA node as AHCI for the deployment if they are single NMVE PCIE setups. Dell sets to RAID but when RAID is set you need additional Intel IRST drivers for the RAID controller which aren't available in the default Linux media.Alternatively, you can create a WinPE .wim file and load that to the server and boot to that instead.

Hi! I have same of problem to ASD 5(5.0.1650). My network card is Intel I219-V (Lenovo ThinkCentre M700). How Can I mount this drivers to ASD? Thank you!
- Anmelden, um Kommentare verfassen zu können

You're running an older build. 1666 should take care of your driver issue in the default linux media for that particular NIC.
Sticky: Build 1666 can be found here!
If you want to build WinPE, you can inject drivers into during the WinPE build process. You cannot inject drivers into the default Linux media.
