Creating a bootable USB stick with Acronis Boot Disc ISO

Thread needs solution

When making the bootable usb-stick withe the ISO of acronis snap deploy 5 boot disc the program complained, that this type of ISO is not supported. I am forgetting the exact program right now, will post it when I am back in the office, but what is so special about the ISO for the Acronis Boot Disc?

I'm not sure whether you mean the ISO created from Snap Deploy or the ISO downloaded from your Acronis account. Both should be able to boot from a USB flash drive using Grub4DOS. Here's a guide to install the Acronis ISO files to a USB flash drive.

It seems that you have tried to create a WinPE-based pendrive.

But if you want to add Linux-based Acronis Snap Deploy and Ubuntu in the same pendrive, you need to find info on how to boot multiple OSs Linux from pendrive, see this article as example. Acronis Snap Deploy does not have a feature to create such pendrive.

Best regards.

You may want to look at Easy2Boot.  It is a wonderful multi tool that allows you to have numerous .ISO's on a single disk that can all be mounted and there is really no configuration needed on your end, just put the .ISO's in the correct folder.  The limitation is that it only works on legacy/bios/CSM systems and does not boot on UEFI natively, although, once you are familiar with the tool, ther is advanced UEFI booting using .imgPTN files.

Another alternative is YumiMuliboot.  It's another great tool, not quite as robust as Easy2Boot, but basically accomplishes the same thing.  It's main limitation is that you can only have one Windows installer on your drive at a time.  You must use the application to add and/or update your tools and it is also a CSM\legacy\bios tool.
