Hardware issues after deployment

Thread needs solution

Has anyone experienced Ethernet ports or keyboards on new laptops not working after performing a deployment? So far out of 20 new laptops imaged, 2 have Ethernet ports that do not work (HP ProBook, W7 x64) and 1 with a keyboard not working (I can plug in a USB keyboard and that works). I had two other laptops with Ethernet port problems but they miraculously lit back up today after several attempts at enabling/disabling the integrated port.

Hello, Shane

Please make sure that drivers for NIC (network adapter) are installed after deployment. It can be checked in the Device Manager.
Was Acronis Universal Deploy used while deploying?
What machine the master image was taken from? From the same laptop (HP ProBook) or another one?

Best regards.

I took one of the 30 HP ProBooks (W7 Pro x64) we purchased and prepped it for imaging. I used that image on the rest of the machines. After the laptops rebooted into Windows the first time I noticed the Ethernet ports were not working at all. I did make sure the drivers were properly installed. After several different troubleshooting searches online I resorted to doing something simple....taking the battery out and unplugging the laptops. Waited 30 minutes then plugged everything back in and the ports lit back up. I would be interested to find the root cause of why something like this would happen. Nothing was significantly different in the master image except me adding Office 2013, Citrix Receiver, Uniprint 5.0, Adobe PDF Reader DC and Silverlight.
