How to Correctly Specify Target Volume to Deploy a Specific Volume

Thread needs solution

HOW-TO QUESTION FOR STAND-ALONE DEPLOY USING SNAP DEPLOY 4:

I have an image file on a USB flash memory stick. This image file contains three volumes. The middle volume is named as: OS (with a drive letter assignment of D:). This OS volume relates to a Windows installation from a laptop.

I removed the internal hard drive from the Windows-based laptop, and using a USB drive enclosure, I connected this hard drive to another Windows-based system and did a quick format of the corresponding "OS (D:)" volume.

At this point.... the target disk should have a volume named OS that's ready to accept the "OS (D:)" files from the image file on the USB flash drive.

Starting the stand-alone deployment wizard from a bootable CD:

Following the screen where I place a checkbox next to the "OS (D:)" volume that I want to deploy, what do I do next to specify that I want this "OS" volume to be deployed onto the volume (presumably the middle of three volumes) identically named as "OS" on the target disk drive?

It appears as though the Deployment Wizard doesn't use the volume names for every aspect of the deployment process. The screen after I select the volume to deploy has a numeric counter field to specify a target volume numerically by integer, not by name, so if the volume I want to deploy named "OS" is the second of three volumes, do I set a value of "2" in the numeric option box for target volume ?

I figured I had nothing to lose by trying, so when I tried using a value of "2" for the "replace volume" option, I got a message referring to a size mismatch, so I figured it couldn't be volume number two. When I clicked the "back" button in the wizard, I clicked the second small button in the upper-right corner above the source volume list and this button enabled me to reveal an extra column of information that described the "OS (D:)" volume as being on (d1)(p3), so I figured this meant "drive 1" "partition three", so on the next screen of the wizard, I specified a value of "3" for the "replace volume" option, and now the wizard seems to be carrying onward, so maybe this is what I needed to do.... simply reveal the additional column of information to know that "disk one - partition three" translates to a "replace volume" value of "3" on the next screen.
