Installed Software on Master Image Question
Looking to deploy 5 developer Win 10 computers on a windows domain. Does snap deploy support IIS, 2016 SQL server, MS Office 2016, Visual studio installed on the master image to be able to be deployed to 5 workstations without issues? Software will be configured for the developers to use in their "test" environment.
What about Windows SID issues in Windows 10? I assume that i would configure master as a member of the domain, then remove from domain before deploying?
Curious if there are any limitations to cloning any fully installed software (aside from properly licensing).

I understand that all software will be imaged...my question was ...will i run in to problems with SQL, IIS, Visual Studio if those programs are imaged and running on multiple pc's at the same time copied from one master image? (aside from being licensed properly)

When performing the online imaging (Management Agent installed on the master machine), you don't need to suspend any operations.

Maybe you are misunderstanding my question...if i have a master machine with IIS, SQL, Visual Studio and make 4 clones of the master machine. Can all 5 machines (master and 4 clones) exist at same time on same network and not run in to any issues with regards to SQL , IIS, Visual Studio, etc? Sort of like 2 windows computers with same SID will have issues when running on same network. Certain things need to be unique with regards to software or machine ID's. None of the SQL servers of IIS servers need to talk to each other. They are just striclty the dev's test environment.

Also...would i be better configuring the master and creating clones before joining a domain...or can i join to a domain, configure, then remove from domain before creating clones from the master? Wasnt sure if it mattered either way....

Hello Scott,
Thanks for posting your questions.
Sort of like 2 windows computers with same SID will have issues when running on same network. Certain things need to be unique with regards to software or machine ID's.
The software tied to a machine's MAC-address. After deploying to new hardware the MAC-address will be changed and the software will require new licenses. We recommend that you discuss the licensing question with Microsoft.
Also...would i be better configuring the master and creating clones before joining a domain...or can i join to a domain, configure, then remove from domain before creating clones from the master?
You can add machines to a domain at a deployment step as instructed here: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ASD5/#13504.html

I am not worried about adding clones to domain via the cloning process. I am asking about the master image itself. SHould the master machine image be created when the computer is domain joined or not? Or does it matter? I was thinking it might be best to have the master join the domain, configure /install all the software, then leave the domain (move to a workgroup) to create the clones. Then domain join master and cloned computers when finished
