License server problem
hey there,
NOTE: I installed ASD4 on win2003 on a Virtualbox machine
So, another problem persists:
If i install ASD4. Clean install. I add licenses via file (We have upgrade licenses).
All works fine. no errors or whatsoever.
Then, i can make a template etc. and run bootable media via PXE.
I can boot into PXE with a laptop and it will deploy just fine. License server says 39 out of 40 in use.
Then i take another laptop (Identical besides MAC adress) and boot into PXE.
Deployment doesn't start it just kills the system : Log says: No Acronis snap deploy for workstation - deployment license.
(First laptop is still deploying)
The 2nd laptop reboots because acronis killed the system and then it WON'T boot into PXE anymore.
I have to restart the Acronis PXE server via services.msc and it is back online. But it still gives the same error that there are no license wich actually are there >?!!?!
I have tried different options in default settings / licensing but nothing has helped. I have tried different network settings on my lan. I took out the router, took out the switch but there is no difference.
Have you ever had a simmilar problem?

Is someone taking action on this post? Our company is unable to deploy these laptops for quite some time now.

Rick, one of the reasons for the deployment failure is that you don’t have the previous version’s license in your license server. Please check if you have Acronis Snap Deploy 3 license in your license server. In this link you will find the complete information about upgrading licences of the program.
Please check if your type of licences in your license server corresponds to the license type in your Deployment template wizard.
For additional information about license policy of Acronis Snap Deploy 4, please follow this link.
Your second laptop reboots most likely for the same reason. Operating system files cannot be modified if you run deployment without a license. It is possible the PXE server service is crashing. It will require investigation. Please follow this link and create a user dump together with Acronisinfo.
