The Logon User Interface DLL ds_gina.dll Failed to Load

Thread needs solution

I have been trying to recovery an image and once the process is complete a GUI pops up with "The Logon User Interface DLL ds_gina.dll Failed to Load" Contact your administrator and a button to restart.

Does anyone have a clue what this could possibly be and what's the work around.

I had the same problem after my workstation hung on the restart after imaging. I forced a restart and then started getting the "The Logon User Interface DLL ds_gina.dll Failed to Load" Contact your administrator and a button to restart." I followed the instructions on this message and that took care of ds_gina.dll issue.

I think the root cause was the hung process after imaging, and no cid rewrite.

I am having the same problem as well. Deleted the entry in the registry and rebooted, no problem. With a mass deployment, it will be though. I may try an image after loading OS and then reapply image.
