Moving Licenses to New Server

Thread needs solution

I need to replace our current Snap Deploy server, which also has the license server installed on it. How do I move the licenses from the old machine to the new one? I still have all the license files. Is it simply a matter of re-importing them to the new machine?

Couldn't wait any longer for an answer, so I went ahead and tried it to see what would happen.

I was able to re-install the Snap Deploy and Licensing Server on a new machine. Then I re-imported all my licenses from a backup I had of the original license files.

After importing the licenses, I was no longer able to log into the management console. It simply would not accept my credentials any more and gave an error E000807D8. I saw a similar problem here http://forum.acronis.com/forum/11934 so I uninstalled and re-installed the Snap Deploy Agent and was able to log on. However, when I tried to image a machine, I got another error, so I reinstalled the deployment server, after which everything seemed to work.

So if anyone is going to move to a new machine, I would recommend this:
1. Install license server on new machine.
2. Import licenses
3. Install the rest of the stuff -- management console, deployment server, PXE server, etc.
