PXE Server Problem

Thread needs solution

Hi ,

I have installed Acronis Snap Deploy 4 Trail version on my laptop. I had two more laptops and I was able to deploy an image on both of them successfuly at my home network. So far so good, bu when I tried the exact same laptops on my school's network, which has a DHCP server, the client laptops didn't boot into the PXE server. They acted as if it didn't exist. It can't be an issue with the configuration or firewalls because the very same configuration worked perfectly at home. It must be something to do with the school's network which uses 5 smart switches. I don't have access to their consoles so I really don't know what to do at this point.

Thanks for any help.

On your laptop that has the image and PXE server have you set a static IP Address for your Computer and the schools DNS's. i would just take whatever DHCP address is assigned at the time and make it a static address. Also try restarting the pxe service in the services section of windows. if your using static also turn off the DHCP service.
if this is not possible.....
Something you might also try is rather than using an private ip address for your pxe in the settings do server/127.0.0.1 which binds to the local host.
