I backed-up files used during the Win98 and WinXP time period. I don't remember which back-up programs I used. Can I use Acronis to restore these old files? If not, can you offer a solution.

Acronis can restore only its own .tib files (and .zip , but it's probably not your case)? so you need to identify the application that created yours. What are names ant extensions of your backup files ?
