Snap deploy changed MBR disk to GPT? Black screen at boot if power button held down.
We imaged over 70 HP DeskPro 400G2 PC's using the standalone snap deploy 5 bootable usb. During the master image build we chose all partitions. All partitions were applied to the imaged PC. The new imaged PC's boot correctly until they are manually powered down by holding down the power button. They boot to a black screen with no error messages. I can temporarily fix the black screen boot issue by running Windows 7 repair tool. While troubleshooting I have discovered the original disk was MBR but the snap deploy image applied a GPT disk. I have screen shots of diskpart and diskmanager before and after imaging. This has become a high priority due to PC's frequently booting to black screens due to power failures or manually powering down.
I think I know what happen. So I booted Snap Deploy from an EFI usb to create the master image. The system must have considered the MBR disk to be GPT. I also booted with an EFI usb to apply the image. The applied image is missing the MS Reserved partition...and or the order is not correct. I need an expert to help. I just need to know how to fix it without having to reimage them all again.
FYI, I am unable to fill out the email to Acronis support. It keeps saying Company Size0 is required. Looks like the page is buggy.
thanks
