Snap-Deploy Question

Thread needs solution

I've taken an image and then restored from that image on a separate computer. So I know everything there is working.

I then took the same image but put it on two separate DVDs. Writing the image to the DVDs seemed to work fine, but when I try to restore from the image on the other computer it encounters a problem. It recognizes the image on the DVD , even reminds me to use the last made volume disc first. It then proceeds to install, announces that it was successful without actually installing anything, and exits.

All I need to do is get this large image onto several smaller DVDs. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hello zhair zhair,

welcome to Acronis forums!

As I understand, you perform Stand-alone deployment where a master image is stored on two DVDs.

It then proceeds to install, announces that it was successful without actually installing anything, and exits.

You will need to reproduce this problem. Please recreate Acronis Bootable Media and check the Place Agent's logs on the deployment server box in order to collect logs. This option will be available at the Network settings step.

The log will be available on the deployment server in the following folder: %AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\Acronis\DeployServer\AgentsLogs . Then please open a case with Acronis Support Team and share these logs with engineers for issue investigation.

All I need to do is get this large image onto several smaller DVDs.

If there is only your large image stored on your DVDs and these DVDs are not bootable, then you can just copy the image onto another set of smaller DVDs.

Otherwise, it is better to recreate a master image to a set of smaller DVDs.
