Snap Deploy - Unable to deploy to HP ELitebook 850 G6

Thread solved

We received some HP Elitebook 850 G6 for the first time today, previously we were deploying to G5's. Something seems to have changed in this generation. For the PXE boot Acronis starts to load, stating it is loading the kernels, then the PCs will just restart, then go to sleep. When I try via the snap deploy CD ROM the kernal loads, but when I get to the snap deployment screen it states there is no network cards available. Yet I can see them in the EUFI (and network boot wouldn't even start if they weren't).

So seems something has changed in either the EUFI or the adapters themselves in this generation. Has anyone come across this?

Hello Bruce,

thank you for your posting! What build version is used here? If older than 1666, this might be a drivers issue https://forum.acronis.com/comment/405075#comment-405075

Should the issue persist on the latest build 1971, I'd recommend trying the steps outlined in

Many thanks for the response.

I am using Snap Deploy 5 build 1924.  So  I will try updating to 1971, then if that doesn't work will try your resources you posted and will update with the result!

Hello Bruce!

Please do not forget to create a new bootable media (with new build 1971) and upload it to PXE.

Many thanks both for the help, I now have it loading!

I had to

1) Update build of Snap Deploy, which was actually 1993 not 1971
2) Removed the existing WIn PE image from PXE server
3) Reinstalled the Windows 10 Deployment Kit
4) Recreated the Win PE image

All with some restarts in between.  Thank goodness was tearing my hair out.  Many thanks for the assistance!
