Only one IP-address shows up on machine list (Acronis Snap Deploy 6)
Hi everybody
We have this strange issue after upgrading from ASD 5 to ASD 6.
When connecting multiple units to the deploy network, only one IP-/MAC-address appears on the list.
Besides that, the IP-/MAC-address changes after 10 seconds to another unit on the network???
We've tried the following for investigation:
- Checked that the IP-/MAC-addresses are not the same on the units on deploy network.
- Updated the BIOS-version on all units on the deploy network.
- Run "Advanced IP-scanner" software to see, if all the units could be found on the deploy network (they all could).
- Tried to add the machines with the MAC-address to the list. But it shows all the added machines as "Not ready"
- Tried to put the whole deploy-setup to a stand-a-lone 4G router to see if anything regarding firewall or other stuff could cause the problems. Still only one machine is showing up on the list.
We are running Acronis Snap Deploy v. 6.0.3.030

Dear Anders Helbo Sørensen,
In order to help you we need to collect additional information.
What units are you trying to connect? By "units" you mean machines?
Which network adaptor do you use?
How many network adaptors has each machine?
Can you please provide screenshots of the list of deploy network?

I have exactly the same problem. Did you solve it?
Hi Abdel
It's been solved.
The thing that caused this problem was Snap Deploy 6. We went from Snap Deploy 5 to 6 in march 2022 and since then, we experienced that we were only able to see one ip-address on the list.
The difference between ASD 5 and ASD 6 was, that ASD 5 looks at the MAC-addresses and ASD 6 looked at the BIOS-ID's. And since all our units had the same BIOS-ID, only one unit could be shown on the list.
We went back to ASD 5 and then it worked again.

Hi. Does anyone knows if this issue will be resolved in Snap Deploy v.6?
This is the latest note from their Release Notes. But I need the software to look at the MAC address and not the BIOS ID.
- Correct licenses assignment when deploying to machines connected via docking station
The machines connected to a docking station share the same MAC address which caused licensing issues when tracking deployment usage, for example for tablets. Now this problem is gone with the new licensing algorithm which tracks machine BIOS ID in addition to MAC address for truly unique identification.

Hello Andreas,
thank you for your posting! I've just checked the status of the corresponding issue (Internal ID for reference ASD-4825 Machines in the console disappear when when a new machine with the same default BIOS id gets listed) and the status is Fixed in the Update 1.1
Have you installed the latest build?
