ATI 2016 Not fit for purpose

Thread needs solution

Running ATI2016 on a Windows 10 64 machine, two HDD drives go missing from the source list when the computer wakes up. Both HDD work normally in Windows 10 and are listed correctly in Disk Manager. ATI want me to pay them to sort this out. What a con. Been an ATI customer for 6 years but I think it maybe time to move on.

What happens if you close out of ATI after waking up and then re-open it?  It just may need to be refreshed in the application and there's not really a refresh option so stopping and starting it may resolve the problem.  Or, if you have the sources list open already, then it sleeps and wakes up, you may have to back out of that function and go back into it before the drives are detected again.  I have Win 10x64 on 3 machines and have no issues with this.

No, makes no difference, even if I try setting up another backup it only list the other source drives. Also interestingly if I try running any of the other ATI applications like drive cleanse it also doesn't see them. Thus is clearly and ATI issue as crystal disk and other apps have no problem listing these drives. Only way I can get acronis to list them again is to reboot.

Im wondering if this is something to to with GPT as other drives are MBR

Shouldn't matter if if they are MBR or GPT, My internal drive is GPT and my USB drives are MBR and it sees all of them.  However, If I have the sources open first, then plug in a UsB drive, it doesn't see them either.  Intead, I have to get out of the sources menu, click somewhere else in Acronis, then go back to the sources and it will show them.  The sources have to refresh before it detects new drives.

No doesn't matter if I close ATI and reopen, change backup settings or create a new backup, drives are not shown and if a backup is scheduled it will fail due to missing source disks which arnt missing.

i contacted support but they wouldn't help unless I pay them $20, bl***y cheek, only purchased this about 3 months ago and they want more money from me so that they can to sort out a program bug.

Well I also tried uninstalling my SATA storage controller drivers and ATI still not playing ball, so I have downloaded and am running the free version of Macrium reflect. So far it seems to work well, no problems seeing the two drives that ATI can't.
