backup naming convetion

Thread needs solution

When using the single version backup scheme my backups are named as:

    Entire PC(my computer)_full_b1_s1_v1-2

   Entire PC(mycomputer)_full_b2_s_v1

What does the different names of these backups indicate.

Both backups were made on different days to the same external drive.

Hi shortstop,

If you are creating a new backup, and there is already a file with the same name, the program does not delete the old file, but adds to the new file the "-number" suffix. In your case Entire PC(mycomputer)_full_b2_s1_v1 was already present on the disk when program created a new backup. Therefore your new backup file got the name Entire PC(my computer)_full_b1_s1_v1-2.

Detailed information about backup files naming you can find in this article.

Thank you,
