Can an image validation be done from a boot disk?

Thread needs solution

Suppose I have an Acronis TI Backup image set that has been created via a network share.  And suppose the drive that contains the shared folder is connected via USB to a PC that does not have ATI software installed.  Suppose I wish to verify (validate) that image set, not via the network share, but directly, from the PC to which the drive containing the shared folder is attached -

is that possible?  I know that, for example AOMEI Backupper and Macrium Reflect can create bootable CD disks that allow full program functionality outside of Windows - including the ability to verify an image backup set.  Is this possible with ATI?  I haven't found a way to do it yet. All of the Rescue Disks I've created, only allow Backup and Restore functions, along with some utilities.

Yes, Acronis has bootable offline recovery media as well and validation, backups and restores are all possible wiht the offline bootable recovery media.  Unlike Macrium, the bootable media from Acronis (the licensed version) never expires either.  You can use the offline bootable media to validate files attached to a local USB and/or on the network too.

Randy,

To validate your backup using the rescue media you need to select the recovery tab. Next click the Browse for backup button to select your backup and add it to the recovery window.  Now right click your backup and select Validate archive in the context menu.

You can also choose to validate the backup during a recovery operation.

THANK YOU to both Bobbo and Joey for your prompt replies.  I'll give that a try.
