Bonjour Edgar, welcome to these user forums.

Sorry but we have too little information to be able to help or advise you with your question about cloning.

Please read post: 128231: [WARNING] CLONING - How NOT to do this!!! for some guidance on the subject of Cloning.

Some information we need from you:

What version of Windows OS are you using?  Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10 - 32-bit or 64-bit?  Desktop or Laptop?
What version / build of Acronis True Image do you have?  Check on your Account page in the ATIH GUI.
What type of disk drives are involved in your clone attempt?  HDD, SSD, NVMe, M.2, PCIe, USB or SATA connected?
How are you attempting to perform the clone operation?  Within Windows or using bootable Rescue Media?

OS version : Window 10 pro 64 bits laptop

True image 2016 version 6581

Drives C: to be cloned SSD 900 Go to an USB drive 100 Go

The start is in Windows and in the past when it was working windows was closing and the computer was restarting and doing the cloning.

Sorry USB drive 1000 Go

Edgar, thank you for the further information.

As per my earlier post, it is not recommended to attempt to do a Clone from within the Windows ATIH application - this by necessity has to modify your Windows Boot Configuration in order to point this at a temporary Linux environment from which to run Acronis and do the Clone.  If anything goes wrong in this area you can end up with an unbootable system and no cloned drive.

Please do read post: 128231: [WARNING] CLONING - How NOT to do this!!! for some guidance on the subject of Cloning.

At a very minimum, you should make a full disk & partitions backup of your source 900GB SSD to an external backup drive.

With laptops and cloning, you should remove the source drive and replace it with the drive you are cloning to, i.e. the new 1TB drive, then connect the removed source drive via USB.

Cloning should be done using the Acronis bootable Rescue Media, and this should further be started in the same way that your Windows 10 OS will start, i.e. either using EFI / UEFI  or using Legacy boot.  See webpage: Check if your PC uses UEFI or BIOS for help in finding out how your Windows 10 starts.
