Failed to Start Try & Decide

Thread needs solution

I using Acronis True Image 2016, Build 6571,on the Windows 10 operating system.  Every time I try to start Try & Decide I get the above error message.  There is no explanation given.  I do not have a GPT disk, so that is not the issue.  I have attempted to find the answer online without success, and I do not wish to pay Acronis for support on an issue which appears to be due to their program.  Any thoughts or ideas?

Are you using Acronis Startup Recovery Manager?  If yes that is more than likely the issue.  Disable ASRM and try again.

No, I am not using ASRM.  But thanks for the response.  I have not been able to determine from anything I've read so far why it won't start.

I tried turning the anti-virus off without success.  I was able to follow the other instructions, but as I am out of my free support period, I am trying to avoid having to pay Acronis Customer support to fix what is most likely a problem with their software, as opposed to my computer.

Mark, please take a look at the very long running forum post: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/97308?page=4 where another user appears to have got a resolution to his TND issues with help from Acronis developer khalex - it might be worth you sending him a PM to ask if you could try the latest TND release patch.
