First Restore - A few questions
Windows 10
TI 2016
I just completed my first restore and have a few questions.
- I first tried to restore from TI within Windows Desktop but it said a restart was needed. After a restart nothing would happen.
- So next I tried to restore from reboot loading TI from CD and then recovery from a flash drive.
Everything appeared to go well with the restore taking 5 minutes.
Q1 - On the first boot the computer took 1 minute to start but it normally takes 10 seconds. Using Hybrid drive. However, after the first boot the computer would start in 10 seconds and now everything appears normal.
No big deal but is the first slow boot normal?
Also, it appears I've lost some of my previous Chrome settings. Is this normal?

Not normal no. AS long as it was temporary, no problem.

Not all files are actually included in an image, beause ATI follows the "filesnottosnapshot" settings of the Microsoft Shadow Copy service. You can remove these exclusions from the Acronis True Image backup exclusion settings.

Fast boot time is a feature of Win10, since it does not really shut down completely. Some information is stored in a special partition of your hard drive and retrieved from there, resulting in a rather short time (10 s or so), till you can operate your computer.
When you force Win10 to shut down completely, no information is stored and the next boot will take much more time (around 1 min) as you observed.
When you restore your backup you will get a slow boot for the first boot process after the restore.
