flaw in opening page to backup in true image

Thread needs solution

I bought Acronis True Image 2016 and on the opening page to back up is a flaw, and that is " backup entire PC"

that is a very broad statement as does it mean entire pc with all the drives attached to the PC or entire pc with all external drives or does it mean just the operating system?????? this need to be detail and drilled down more,

Why not have a + sign to open pc and tick box what one wants to backup.

my external hard drive cannot backup the "entire pc" if that is meant all my drives

Hello Mike, welcome to these user forums.

The default option offered to users to backup "Entire PC' is exactly what it says, an option.

As soon as you move your mouse over the "Entire PC" source selection panel, this immediately changes to show "Change source" and if you click on that new option, you can then select as little or as much of your PC as you want to include in your backup image.

"Entire PC" would normally include all Fixed HDDs (or SSD) in your system.  It does not include Removable drives nor External drives unless you specifically decide to select these.

See the attached screen shots of these options.

I see ok, I was thinking of the old ancronis were the Plus sign was next to PC and then drilled down to tick boxes as choose ,
