how to set the compression level to none in TI 2016
in the forum their is a discussion on how to set compression in TI 2015 (backup > advance > Performance) however it is missing from that location in TI 2016 Does anyone know how to change the compression level in TI 2016?

For there to be a change in the compression level, the existing archive (backup) would have to be decompressed and re-compressed using the new compression settings. Norton Ghost allows you to do this through the copy process, however, any future backups using the particular task use the original backup file and it compression settings.
So, the only 'solution' is to create a new backup task - easiest way would be to clone the settings of the existing backup and then change the compression level.

I still don't get why they do this at all. All ATIH previous to 2015 were able to change the compression and I pointed out, hopefully valid, why changing a compression is needed

This is a design decision I will never get.

Performance option only available on a new task which has not been used.
Once a backup has been created, the option is no longer accessible.

No discussion about that it disappears on a used job but imho it makes no sense that this limitation exists, moreover as it was introduced with ATIH 2015 and no such limitation existed in previous releases. It seems people that mind that are a minority.

Removing the ability to change the compression settings is a mistake. Putting in a warning that says 'changing the compression will result in a complete, fresh backup' is a much better option.
Cloning the backup does not reveal the compression dropdown to change. The only way I can see changing the compression settings is to create a brand new backup option.
