I can't install build 6571 update

Thread needs solution

Jacek, welcome to these user forums.

There have been a few problems with users upgrading to the latest build version which have been mainly caused by interference by security programs.

Acronis have released a small program to help resolve some of these issues - please see KB document: 58249: Acronis True Image 2016: Update to Build 6571 Fails with "Access is denied" then download the file tracker setup zip file indicated there - extract the file_tracker_setup_2501.msi file from the zip file, right-click on this and select Install then restart the system and retry the 6571 upgrade.

If this still doesn't work, then please sign in to your Acronis Account and download the latest full ATIH 2016 Installer and try running this as Administrator instead of using the Upgrade option from within the ATIH GUI.

Thanks a lot. I just went to Acronis site today and downloaded the update from there and installed it without any problems. Still don't understand why doesn't it work from  Acronis program.

Thanks again

My thanks also. Run as administrator works.

When I started the Acronis app a screen appeared saying that a later edition was available (With an earlier build date that I didn't notice). I chose the update option and the installation failed as before. I went back to the Build 6571 version and used the run as option, and now all is well.

It's a shame that this solution is not part of the download and instilation instructions.
