Incremental backup via FTP instead of mapped network drive
For various reasons I want acronis to start backing up to my NAS over FTP instead of through the mapped network drive I set it up with previously.
However when changing the location of the backup (first gave it the IP/port/username/pass, test connection passed, then tacked on the path to the backup directory), I get a generic error saying it cannot find the requested file with no additional information when I initiate a backup.
Is there a recommended way to make this transition? Can I create a new backup scheme with the ftp location seeded with my old incremental backup data?
I would like to avoid making another full backup at this point as the incremental backups I have serve as valuable snapshots at various points in time and disk is limited.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Reinstalled acronis, selected new backup from existing backup and it found all of the full/incremental backups, but when I click 'reconfigure" I get "An unknown error has occured", again without any helpful information.
I checked ProgramData/Acronis/TrueImageHome/Scripts/....tibs.tis and all the uris for the backup pieces are listed but have the incorrect username/password being used. (or maybe just placeholder text?) Either way I'm starting to believe Acronis just doesn't work backing up over ftp.
Looks like I'll have to go back to using a mapped network drive with a user that can both write to my other remote volume and my acronis backup volume. =\
