Log file--where is it?

Thread needs solution

I upgraded from 2014 recently. With the new GUI format, how do I find the log file?  I can't find the "gear"

Ken, you can get to the log files in two ways:

1. Enable the Notification for your backup task and the default is to attach the log to the email sent to you.

2. Browse to C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs folder - the logs are in there in XML text format and can be browsed with Notepad.  The logs named service_* are the ones associated with backup tasks mainly.

Feedback has already been given to the Acronis developers of the need to put back the easy access to the logs in the GUI by lots of users like yourself, please feel free to add your own using the Feedback tool in Help.

One of our MVP's, FTRPilot, is also working on a logging application that we've been testing in the MVP forum.  Looks very good right now.  A few small bugs to work out, but should become avaialble in the rest of the forum to use in the near future too.
