My regular computer died and I want to install ATI 2016 on my new PC

Thread needs solution

My regular desktop computer died recently. Since it was quite old, I decided to buy a new computer to replace it. I have an ATI 2016 license for three computers, with ATI 2016 installed on the desktop that died and ATI 2016 installed on the laptop I'm using now. If I download another copy of ATI 2016, that will use up the third copy. Is there a way to deactivate ATI 2016 on the desktop that died, and install it on my new PC, so I don't use up all three copies? I'm using Win10 on a 64 bit PC. Thanks. -Paul

Paul, I am not aware of any direct way of deactivating the license held by the dead computer but this shouldn't be a problem as when you do need to use that license on a third system then you will be given a message to say that you have exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number, which will then give you further options, including deactivating the dead computer.

See KB document: 56553: Acronis True Image 2016: "You've exceeded the maximum number of activations for this serial number" which has screen images of the options you will be shown.
