Pas de suppression ancienne image ...

Thread needs solution

Bonjour,

Merci

Bonjour Armand,

Please tell us what options you are using for your automatic backup each day?
What automatic cleanup options you have set?
What type of backup scheme you are using?
How many incremental or differential backups before creating a new full image?
How many versions to keep?

All of these settings will influence when old images are deleted.

Screenshots will help :)

Also, please keep in mind that anytime yhou go and modify a backup task (if you have done this), it resets the count of the current backup version chain.

Example:

You do 1 full + 6 incrementals for a week of daily backups.  AFter your third incremental is complete, you open the backup task to make a change of what you want backed up an save the change.  You must now allow 6 incrementals to complete (making a total of 9 now since 3 had already completed) before the version chain will complete.

Basically, just don't modify backup tasks after you have created them if you do have cleanup rules in place, or it will delay the cleanup task.

Hello thank you for your answers. I would like only a backup every day at the computer starts with removing the backup yesterday. That's it that's all. Thank you to whoever gives me the right configuration.

Hello Armand,

The nearest that I can suggest for what you are wanting to do is as shown in the attached screen shots.

In the first image, I suggest adding a delay at startup to allow your system to fully start before running the daily full backup.

In the second image, you will be creating a new Full backup each day and only keeping 1 copy of this, so previous copies will be deleted each time the next one completes successfully.
