"Queued" backups that NEVER run!

Thread needs solution

Acronis worked fine until I "upgraded" to build 6569.

I have three backups, scheduled for various times in the overnight. Each backup is to a local hard drive on the same system.

Instead of running as scheduled, each is hung with a message that says "Queued" in the bottom "status" pane.

What next?

It sounds like you have a 'stuck' task in the Acronis scheduler that is preventing any of your other tasks from being able to run, hence they are being 'queued' behind that stuck task.

Please download a copy of the Acronis Scheduler Manager which you can use first to list all the tasks that the scheduler 'knows' about using the Get list command, then you can either use task zap and clear all of these listed tasks, or you can clear individual tasks by number.

Instructions for using this utility are given in the KB document referenced above.

The list of tasks shown will include the task script name for your backup tasks - these are held in the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder and can be opened with a text editor like Notepad to see which script matches which backup task.  The folder path may be hidden on some systems, if so, change the Explorer view options to show hidden files & folders.

That seems to be doing the trick. I did as you suggested, and manually initiated a backup. It now seems to be proceeding rather than staying "stuck".

I appreciate the quick response. I must say that it is disconcerting to discover, by accident, on 28 May that the last backup ran on 23-May. I want my backup program to stay out of the way when it's working. I want it to be in my face when it is NOT working.

Thanks again for the help!
