Scheduled Backup doesn't run

Thread needs solution

Since upgrading to Win 10 my Acronis True Image 2016 scheduled backup occasionally doesn't run at the scheduled time. I also keep getting the message "Scheduler has stopped". When I look at the tasks running the Acronis Scheduler job has a low priority.  How can I fix this?

John, I have not seen any other posts in the forum that suggest there is a known problem with the Acronis Scheduler and I haven't experienced any issues myself in running this on my own Windows 10 systems.

Please see KB document: 1859: Acronis Scheduler Manager which offers a utility program to help manage this service / process.

Are you running any programs on top of Windows 10 that are intended to improve startup times or control active applications etc?

If you look at the Windows Task Manager - Details page tab and look at the Acronis Scheduler Service, right-click on this service, and check what is set for the Set priority option - on my system, this is set to Normal as shown in the screen shot below.

I have not created/started any programs to run on top of windows.

I have bumped up the priority on the scheduler to "higher than normal". Sorry but I didn't really understand the "Acronis Scheduler Utility. I download and ran it as adminstrator but don't know ifit did anything, sorry.

Thanks for your help Steve.
