Scheduled backup not running-geeting message QUEUED

Thread needs solution

Thanks for all the help on my last question,  Now I have something that just started about a week or two ago.  I am running Windoes 10-64 bit with True Image 2016.  I have 4 backup scheduled to run on alternate day.  One at Midnight, One at 6:00 AM, one at Noon and then finally 1 at 6:00 PM.  The 6:00 backups are to Acronis cloud.  the other two are to external hard drives.  THe first thing I did was to stop the two backups to the cloud thinking that I may have lost the connect and it hung the program.  But I still get the issue when I go to the external drives.

The only way to break the backlog is to go into Service Manger and kill two process.  2016 Notificaton (32 bit) and 2016 Service (32).  once I do this they both immediatly restart, but then the backup that is queued will start.

Any suggestions?

thank you

John, when you say that your 4 backups are scheduled to run on alternate days, are they running every day at 6 hours apart?  If so, does the queued problem happen every iteration of the backup schedule, or is it an intermittant issue?

The main reason that I can think of for getting a queued message would be if one of the tasks encountered an issue and was unable to run to completion and where it then pauses and retries thus causing any further scheduled tasks to not be able to execute as only one backup is permitted to be active.

You can use the Acronis Scheduler Manager with the get list option to check if this is the case, and use the task zap option to kill the problem tasks instead of killing the Acronis processes via Service manager.
