[SUGGESTION] Recovery Media builder should ask to name the medium / naming rules

Thread needs solution

ATIH 2016 b5518

I think it would be great if the user could actually choose a name for the recovery medium or if not Acronis should optionally name the medium itself.

like TI2016B5518 (TI-version-build)

If one typcially creates a ATIH recovery medium there is no descriptive name, this comes especially unhandy on USB sticks as you cannot determine if the stick contains a recent build, or at least not determine the build version without booting it.

Another idea would be to place an XML or plain text file that describes the current build number, and also if Universal Restore is available or not.

Karl,

Are you referring to the Linux or WindowsPE version?

Is the media builder putting the files directly on to your recovery media?

If you make a media file such as an ISO or with the PE version ISO or WIM file, there is an option to name the file yourself.

I agree though it would be good if it automatically changed the volume label to TI20DDBBBB or as you say placed a txt file with the information.

Hello Colin, I refer to the Linux medium either on DVD / USB. Glad, you support my idea!
