TI 2016 VERY SLOW
Backing up Windows 10 User/Appdata directory (27.2 GB) to USB3 external drive now takes so long it never completes. Watching the main screen with no other active applications, Acronis backs up this directory at 0.01 GB per hour. Previous version (and initially this version) backed up this directory in under 2 hours - no more.
Backup of the system drive - set up as incremental - (Seagate SSHD [hybrid] 0.5 TB of 2.0 TB in use) does not complete even when I leave it running (and leave the workstation alone) for over 80 hours. For the full backup, the main screen will, after about two days indicate backing up files is complete but then it is "consolidating" for the remainder of the time until I get sick of waiting and just terminate the process.
On feedback attempting to attach a system report, or generating a system report from the tools screen grinds away until after several hours I get tired of waiting and cancel that process.
For both types of backups, letting TI run for days at a time with the main screen active, it always says "Calculating time remaining" but never actually posts a time. It never stops calculating...
This is a VERY BUGGY APPLICATION WHICH APPEARS TO BE DANGEROUS TO YOUR FILES! It is quicker to simply copy files / directories to external media than to use TI, and since TI does not backup any files marked as "system" or "hidden" much of the reason for backing up is not satisfied by TI - a straight admin command line copy does a quicker, more thorough, and safer job.
